The Inhoaíba neighbourhood will be the site of the work.

Rio de Janeiro City Hall has announced the construction of the Cesário de Melo Park, which will be the responsibility of ACA Brasil. Covering more than 234,000 square metres, the project will have a strong educational and cultural focus, with numerous spaces dedicated to art, sport and leisure. Among the wide range of spaces, the Olympic Village, the Nave do Conhecimento, the skate pits, the stage, the school for around 720 pupils and the child development space for 30 children are clearly worth highlighting.

"This project is about transforming people's lives. This park is very symbolic, it will make Madureira Park envious," said Mayor Eduardo Paes.
