Awarded the contract to build a new bridge in the capital of the state of Pernambuco.

ACA's operation on Brazilian soil will be responsible for building the new Areias-Imbiribeira bridge. With a length of 335 metres, this new infrastructure represents a 40% reduction in the time needed to move from one bank to the other.

Within a timeframe of 36 months, work will also be carried out to install two-way cycle lanes, new bus stops, telecommunications networks, upgrading and improving the drainage network and street lighting, as well as upgrading the pavement.

"The invitation to tender for the bridge linking Areias to Imbiribeira will be published in the Diário Oficial do Município. Approximately R$100 million will be invested to connect two important avenues in Recife: Avenida Mascarenhas de Morais and Avenida Recife. This bridge will be approximately 320 metres long, and we will also renovate the road corridors that give access to it. Various modes of transport will be covered, such as buses, bicycles, pavements, carriageways, motorbikes, cars..." explained Mayor João Campos.
